Join artist and The Precious Clay exhibitor, Rosa Nguyen in a creative workshop for adults exploring the clay traditions of East and West.
Participants will create designs for a dinner plate set based on the rich Imari Japanese porcelain and the ‘Old Japan’ patterns developed by Robert Chamberlain in Worcester from 1800. You will use stencils and different mediums including porcelain, terracotta and green clay and together you will be reviving the Imari designs and using plants from the artist’s own herbarium collection. The final designs will be brought together in a book, to be displayed at the Museum during the remainder of The Precious Clay exhibition.
This creative activity is suitable for all abilities and Monday’s workshops are designed for adults.
