Shape 3170, Modelled By Geraldine Blake. A group of young foal standing alertly beside its mother, on a long rectangular base. The model was not a success, in particular because of the rather lifeless modelling of the mare. The foal is captured much more realistically and, to try and make something of the model, was issued on its own the following year as shape 3187. A few were sold but both versions were withdrawn by 1940.
