From the formation of the factory in 1751 the owners invited famous people to visit so they could witness the skills and technology required to make fine porcelain. King George III and Admiral Lord Nelson were two of the earlier renowned visitors and in later years, with the advent of photography, the owners were able to capture images of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and other Royal families and politicians.
