| Description | A set of five small figures, four men and one woman on circular bases decorated in full colour. The Rainer family song and dance troupe of four brothers and their sister wear Prince of Wales feathers in their hats and the Royal coat of arms in their belts given them before a performance for King George IV in 1827. The family from the Ziller valley in the Tyrol had a triumphant tour of Britain and this series of figures, deliberately designed in a naïve style, was introduced by Chamberlain in 1828 at a cost of £2.10.0 per set. |
