In 1951 the Worcester Porcelain Company commissioned John Stuart to make a film about their ceramic manufacturing process from the mining of the raw materials, through all the forming and decorating processes to the packing of the final product, as in this black and white scene of the packing room from the film.
In 2020 The Friends of the Museum of Royal Worcester have sponsored a high-resolution digital remastering of the original production material. Join us for the premiere screening in Henry Sandon Hall at Royal Porcelain Works with an introduction by Martin Stewart, the filmmaker’s son.
This event is presented by the Friends of the Museum of Royal Worcester and supported by Royal Porcelain Works and includes tea and coffee.
