Former Royal Worcester flower-maker Avril Pulley can usually be found working in the galleries on Tuesdays.
Avril started work at Royal Worcester in 1967 making china flowers with Cornish clay. She made life size flowers as well as flowers for figurines and birds. After 11 years at the factory Avril left to decorate wedding cakes with sugar flowers, using the same skills and techniques. She now works with artisan modelling paste and demonstrates the intricate skills of flower making.
If you wish to see a particular demonstrator during your visit please do call ahead to avoid disappointment as days and hours do vary.
