  • Location: Online Zoom Illustrated Talks

We’re delighted to announce a Winter programme of monthly online talks January- March 2022 celebrating some of the most exceptional achievements of Worcester porcelain.

Museum Director Sophie Heath will host well-known antiques experts John Sandon, Philip Serrell and Paul Crane sharing stories and star objects from Worcester’s porcelain heritage. This series of zoom talks leads up to the launch of our first Showstopper Trail – in 2022 we’ll be telling our story through 22 glorious and significant objects which span The Porcelain’s 1751 – 2008 history.

Online talks take place on the Third Tuesday of the month at 6pm

18th January– John Sandon ‘Flight and Chamberlain: Celebrity and Rivalry in Regency Worcester

15th February  – Philip Serrell ‘Handpainted Worcester porcelain of the 20th century – Harry Davis, the Stintons and Painted Fruit

15th March  – Paul Crane ‘Early Worcester from Dr Wall to James Giles – the perfection of paste and glaze’

Save the dates and BOOK NOW for 18th January – there is no ticket charge to join our zoom lectures. We welcome  donations to support the Museum’s work and recovery.

Our 2022 Showstopper Trail will reveal behind-the-scenes archive material rarely seen and bring these fascinating and extraordinary objects in the collection to life. For the first time businesses, organisations and individuals will be able to join us in supporting the work we do to share and preserve Worcester’s porcelain heritage by sponsoring an object at the Museum, enabling us to do more.
