Visit The Museum of Royal Worcester for our Paint Your Own Pottery activities throughout the week during our opening hours.
At Paint Your Own Pottery sessions you can choose from egg cups, mugs, bowls, plates, figurines and even bird boxes and water bowls for the four legged friend in your life.
You’ll be surrounded by inspiration in our Ceramic Studio, plus our friendly staff are on hand to help. Book a table for you or a group of up to six people, then relax as you’ll have an hour and half to try out your artistic skills.
If you have time, you can also explore the Museum before or after your Paint-Your-Own-Pottery session. Discover our collections, plus we have plenty of fun activities for children including our themed Family Explorer backpacks and trails.
We are close to car parks, including blue badge, local café Good Roots and minutes from Worcester Cathedral, riverside walks and cycling and the City Centre high street, full of independent shops, so you really can make a day of it.
How does it work?
You and your group will browse our range of ceramic items and make a selection. Our prices range from £9 upwards.
You’ll be seated at your own table, with a range of colours and tools to use, with staff on hand to offer inspiration and assistance if required.
Once you’ve finished painting, you will leave the item(s) in our capable hands. We will take your item, glaze it and fire it in our kiln. Colours will become richer, and your item will have a hard shiny clear surface – which is food-safe should you wish to use it once you take it home.
We need 7 – 10 days to glaze and fire (this may be longer at busy holiday periods), and will then contact you to let you know your item is ready for collection. We can post your item back to you for an additional cost – speak to a member of staff if this is required.Book here
