Apprentices at Victoria institute
Circa 1910

The apprentices went weekly to the Victoria institute, behind the library, to be taught painting, drawing, design, and they had yearly exhibitions and prizes. In the 1920s the apprentices of the time were often badly behaved, preferring to play football in the yard, for more details see ‘The TerribleĀ  Seven’ in Royal Worcester Porcelain.
