| Description | Vase and cover on a square base with two gilded ram’s head handles. Salmon ground and large painted panel with a view of Chamberlains porcelain factory. Pine cone knop. Chamberlains incorporated a view of their own works on this finely decorated Regent shaped vase and cover, circa 1815. The vase is made of Regent china, a material claimed by Chamberlains to have been perfected after the visit of the Prince Regent in 1807. The body proved to be unreliable and had to be considerably improved, but still retained its name for use on richer items. |
