Description
Oval shaped tea pot, cover and stand, milk jug, slop basin, sucrier and cover and two cups and saucers. All straight fluted shapes with a narrow underglaze blue border and gilded with interwoven ferns. The new oval shaped tea wares of the early 1800's held far more tea than earlier shapes. As tea prices dropped and consumption increased, larger and larger teapots and tea cups were made.
