Description

Group of three cherubs decorating a gothic arch with garlands of flowers. One holding up a basket. Unglazed white porcelain with some flowers decorated with coloured enamels. This exquisite group was originally displayed under a glass dome, known as a shade, to keep it clean. Bisque bone china is not glazed and its rough surface attracts dirt. These intricate flowers and leaves were modeled and assembled by hand while the clay was still wet.
