This Hadley factory water carrier, museum object number teapot 4748 was inspired by a growing knowledge and interest in countries such as Africa in the 1870s. Worcester produced various versions of figures such as these in glazed Parian. They were modelled by James Hadley in 1877 and produced in two sizes.
