Big changes are underway in our galleries! Since welcoming our new Collections and Exhibition Assistant, Rebecca Walker, she and Collections Manager Louise Price have been diving into the store room, uncovering hidden gems and making plans to refresh current gallery displays.

Spotlight on Edward Béjot

Rebecca has uncovered pieces from storage for a new display in our 19th Century Galleries. Discover the work of French artist Edward Béjot, who joined Royal Worcester in 1865 and whose designs were inspired by ornate 16th-century French faience known as Henri Deux or Saint Porchaire wares.

Thanks to the generosity of recent donors, our collections continue to grow—and sparkle! We’re thrilled to be nearing a complete set of the charming ‘Days of the Week’ figures by Freda Doughty and Carol Gladman, now bringing whimsy and warmth to our 20th Century Gallery.

We’re also honored to showcase dazzling ceremonial jewels, recently donated by the Worcester Severn Rotary Club. These striking pieces, featuring Royal Worcester porcelain insets, were worn by the Club’s President and Senior Vice President—and are now proudly gleaming in our upstairs display.

There’s never been a better time to explore the museum. Come see what’s new, celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship of Worcester, and keep an eye out—more exciting additions and refreshed displays are on the way!
