Welcome to our newly launched Showstopper Trail at the Museum and to our Showstopper Gallery online, sharing the stories of Worcester porcelain through 25 glorious and significant objects.

Sponsor a showstopper pot

Our new Showstopper Trail throws a spotlight on 25 of the Museum’s most exceptional, exquisite and important objects. It brings the stories of these fascinating items to life through rarely-seen archive material and the people behind the porcelain. Through both a physical trail in the Museum’s stunning galleries and Showstopper Gallery online, we aim to generate pride in our porcelain heritage.

We’re excited to launch this opportunity for businesses, organisations and individuals to share in and support the Museum’s work through sponsoring an object on the Showstopper Trail or a favourite object of your choice.

Worcester porcelain is a byword for quality and excellence in art and design across the globe. Our world-class collections celebrate Worcester’s heritage of innovation, skill and ambition, as a pioneering centre of porcelain manufacture and international giant of the ceramic industry.

The Porcelain’ is held in affection by many Worcester residents.  Generations of families worked at the factory and its success, over three centuries, was built on ambition, creativity and innovation. The Museum holds a powerful appeal to national and international audiences through the quality and heritage of its unique collections. It offers unparalleled insight into Worcester’s rich entrepreneurial and skilled heritage and its social history. Through a lively programme, with local creativity at its heart, we engage audiences with this fascinating and prized part of Worcester’s history and  work together with businesses and partners to draw visitors to our heritage city and add to residents’ quality of life as we all recover from the impact of the COVID19 pandemic.

It costs £568 each day to look after and open the Museum. Visitors and the Museum shop help with half of our costs. The remainder we seek from the generosity of trusts and foundations, gifts in wills, individual donations and corporate support.

Funds raised by the Showstopper Trail will help the Museum look after, celebrate and engage people with a magnificent heritage – of local, regional and national importance – so that we are here for future generations to enjoy.
