Visiting the Museum safely

At the start of the pandemic, when we were allowed to reopen our doors we made this video to reassure our visitors about our covid safety measures. Although many restrictions have now been lifted, we still want to ensure you have a safe and happy visit. Therefore, if you would like to wear a mask you are welcome to, to help keep hands clean there are several hand sanitising stations dotted throughout the Museum plus there is plenty of room to explore should you wish to keep a safe distance from those outside your visiting group.

Visit us at the Museum of Royal Worcester and discover the extraordinary stories of the workers and artists who skilfully made the objects and the celebrity customers who enjoyed them. Enjoy interactive displays, and family explorer trails in our stunning galleries, completely refurbished in 2018.

You’ll see some of the earliest porcelain made in England and iconic objects like Admiral Lord Nelson’s breakfast teapot, and the famous Evesham oven-to-tableware.

We’re minutes from the historic centre of Worcester with its cathedral, independent shops, and riverside walks along the Severn.

Visiting The Museum with Children - Museum of Royal Worcester

VISITING WITH CHILDREN

We are passionate about sharing the treasures of the Museum with younger people, and welcome children and families with our Family Explorer backpacks, trails and interactives. We have lots of family friendly activities to make your visit a fun one, so children can learn about porcelain heritage in a playful way. Find out more about our children’s activities.

We also have our Paint- Your-Own- Pottery Studio which is popular with adults and children, which you can now book out for children’s birthday parties. Enjoy a Museum visit and then be inspired as you paint your own pots.

Visiting Safely

Keeping you and our staff safe is really important to us. We have hand sanitiser available and you can choose to wear your mask and distance in our spacious galleries, if needed. Please postpone your visit if you are showing any signs of Covid-19.
