The Ladies of the Porcelain – an afternoon with Colin Millett

The Gloucestershire Society for Botanical Illustration and the Museum of Royal Worcester invite you to a special afternoon at the Museum of Royal Worcester:

View an exceptional display of Royal Worcester porcelain and artwork from collector Colin Millett’s private collection.

Enjoy Colin’s ‘Ladies of the Porcelain’ illustrated talk sharing the achievements of the women artists of Royal Worcester in the 20th century.

Partake of tea, coffee and cake on Royal Worcester china.

There will also be the chance to bid in a silent auction of 9 special items provided by Colin – late 19th and early 20th century Royal Worcester Porcelain together with hand-modelled porcelain flowers by Avril Pulley and 1 original watercolour of Worcester Cathedral. All proceeds for nominated charities including a donation to the Museum of Royal Worcester.

Colin Millett is a very entertaining speaker with a wealth of experience in collecting Royal Worcester porcelain. He has written a number of books on Worcester porcelain and has plenty of stories to tell.

Entry to the Museum’s galleries is included with your event ticket on the day.

This event celebrates the collaboration of the Museum and the GSBI after winning the Finnis Scott Foundation Award for increasing engagement with Botanical Illustration in 2020.
