This splendid new factory in the Arboretum Gardens (a mile to the north of the existing factory) was designed by Scriven and Sons of Stoke on Trent but collapsed from lack of finance. The area is now houses and streets known as the Arboretum – the lodge at the front is still there. The Chamberlain frontage was rebuilt to the same design along Severn Street.
