Enjoy creative Summer fun with our Paint Your Own Pottery sessions.
Bring the family or come along with friends to create a personalised gift or treat for yourself. You can even come on your own for a bit of ‘me time’. We have a wide choice of ceramics you can choose from, such as mugs, plates, bowls, flower pots, animal figurines, money boxes, pet bowls, sushi trays, egg cups and more!
You’ll be surrounded by inspiration from the Museum collections, plus our friendly staff are on hand to help. Book your place in advance, then relax as you’ll have an hour and half to try out your artistic skills.
Please note our Pottery Studio is on the First Floor, currently accessible by stairs only. We have six spaces to accommodate painters with limited mobility and their companions, located on the ground floor in our shop. To make arrangements please email shop@museumofroyalworcester.org with your requirements and to request ground floor booking.
Our friendly staff and volunteers will welcome you on arrival and set you up to paint your own unique design. You can choose from our wide range of ceramic items, such as mugs, plates, bowls, figurines, trinket dishes, seasonal ceramics and more. Items range from £9 upwards which you pay for on the day.
Once you’ve finished painting you’ll leave the items for us to glaze and fire in our kiln. Colours will become richer, and your item will have a hard shiny clear surface – which is foodsafe should you wish to use it once you take it home.

Your ticket reserves your seat and all painting materials. Please bring your ticket confirmation with you on a phone.
When can I collect my pottery painting?
We need up to 21 days to glaze and fire (this may be longer at busy holiday periods). We will phone you to let you know your item is ready for collection. We can post your item back to you for an additional cost.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If it is busy, we may not be able to accommodate more than one non-painting accompanying adult in the studio.
Can I book a pottery painting party?
We can host adult or children’s birthday parties. You can choose to hire our studio exclusively or hire our Exhibition Hall. We even offer a Personalised Plate or other ceramics with a message for the VIP in your group.
