Description

Early cylindrical mug with a spreading base painted in onglaze colours. An inscription on a monument is flanked by figures of Conquest (Hercules wrestling with Antaeus) and Gratitude. Arms of Robert Tracy. Inscribed on monument – Erected To commemorate y gratitude Freemen of Worcester owe Robert Tracy Esq. Who restored their liberty by defeating an arbitrary power in the year 1747.
