Underglaze blue border with a central painted scene of a cottage and the duck pond at Trotshill, Worcester where porcelain painters such as Billy Powell, the Austins and the Stintons used to go to sketch. This Grainger & Co plate was probably painted by John Stinton Senior around 1885.
